The “Austrian Vascular Biology Organization” again awards a prize (500€) for the best publication in the field of vascular biology 2025/26 by an Austrian research group, i.e. the address of the corresponding author must be in Austria. The date of publication must be between 01.08.2025 and 31.07.2026. The prize goes to the first author of the publication and can also be shared in the case of shared first authorship. The publication will be selected by an AVBO panel of experts. The award winner undertakes to present the work as talk at the Cardiovascular Research Cluster Meeting on November 30th, 2026. Publications that have already won an award may not be nominated for the AVBO Prize. Furthermore, the award winners declare not to submit the same manuscript to any further award procedure.
